The Ride, The Proof, The Glory
On October 13, 2025, a Dock Start community post by Nicolas Iten highlighted Hans Glanzmann with the caption theme, 'Never too old,' and the publicly indexed result states that Hans was 89 years young while having fun and making big progressions in pumping. This row records that publicly documented age-linked ride reference as the best Scootpump old-rider benchmark found in this research pass. A separate podcast profile published on April 7, 2026 describes Hans Glanzmann of Nottwil, Luzern as a 90-year-old Pump-Foiler, snowboarder, windsurfer, and skateboarder. That later profile supports the age context and shows that Hans remained active in pump foiling into age 90, but I did not find a separate public over-90 Scootpump ride post that directly ties a newer Scootpump ride to age 90. For that reason, the scored metric value here remains 89 years, which is the age directly attached to the Dock Start ride reference found.
Rules of the Beast
Rider must be male and complete a controlled ride on a true Scootpump foil setup: a human-powered pump foil board or riding platform with a handlebar system. Aquaskipper-style machines, powered efoil scooters, motor assist, boat towing, wave riding, kite, wing, sail, and other external propulsion are excluded. The rider must be standing or riding the Scootpump under their own control on foil, and the attempt must show a recognizable completed ride rather than only a static balance moment or assisted launch. Age is measured in completed years on the event date unless a more precise birth date and ride date are available. Public proof should identify the rider, the Scootpump or foil-scoot style device, the age claim, and the date or posting context strongly enough to support the age ranking.
How This Got the Nod
Dock Start search result snippet attributed to Nicolas Iten states Hans Glanzmann was 89 years young. Podcast profile dated April 7, 2026 independently identifies Hans as a 90-year-old Pump-Foiler, which corroborates the age context but not a separate over-90 Scootpump ride.
