Grom got into SUP foiling in a very Grom way: by trying to prove a whale wrong. He used to paddle a regular board far outside the break to “inspect the horizon,” then one day a humpback surfaced, tail-slapped him, and sent him back to shore soaked and grumpy. An older rider saw the whole thing and told him that if he was going to stand that far out anyway, he should try stand-up paddleboard foiling and learn to use the swell properly.
His first SUP foil sessions were messy, full of missed waves, bad paddle timing, and dramatic wipeouts. But that is exactly where he learned the rhythm of paddle in foiling: a few strong strokes, steady feet, then patience while the SUP foil board starts to lift. Over time, Grom figured out how to use the paddle for balance and timing, and what started as frustration turned into smooth flight on a stand-up paddle foil.
Now Grom is known for calm, controlled SUP foil surfing, especially on shoulder-high swell with room to carve. He loves ocean SUP foiling days with a little texture on the water, because good technique matters more than brute force. Beginners trust him because he remembers every awkward step, and experienced riders respect how cleanly he links lines on a SUP hydrofoil and keeps paddle foil boarding fun.

Follow these tips when applying stickers: Apply the sticker to a clean, dust-free, oil-free, and moisture-free surface. After application, press the sticker down with a clean cloth to maximize the sticker’s ability to stick to the surface and avoid air bubbles. Make sure that the sticker is applied correctly the first time. With every reapplication, the sticker’s ability to stick will decrease. Apply the sticker to a flat surface only. If applied on items that bend, are round, or in a cylinder form, we can’t guarantee its ability to hold.
