How This Epic Thing Went Down

PWR-Foil reported that Zéphir broke the eFoil speed record on October 15, 2024 on the Seine. The brand described rougher, choppier conditions after recent weather and said the water level and river flow had increased. Zéphir used the PWR-Foil REVO with a Torch 4'0 board and a 90 cm mast. PWR-Foil said two devices were used for validation: an iGPSPORT device and an Apple Watch SE running the Waterspeed app. The reported readings were 66.54 km/h and 66.67 km/h. The article frames the achievement as surpassing a previous 58 km/h mark and positions the REVO as the fastest eFoil setup at the time of the claim.

Rules of the Beast

Speed records must be set on a motorized eFoil board under electric power. The result should be supported by GPS, watch, race timing, or another public measurement source. Peak speed and course speed should be described separately when the source provides both.

How This Got the Nod

PWR-Foil published the claimed record and measurement devices.
