How This Epic Thing Went Down
On November 1, 2023, Nikolas Plytas published a post claiming the world’s first frontside 360 backflip in boat wake foiling. Lift Foils repeated the claim in its own public post, explicitly naming wake foiling, crediting the boat account @waketowaketc and the video account @pa.n.zo, and presenting the trick as a completed first. A mirrored YouTube Short also carried the same “worlds first” framing. Taken together, the public trail gives this milestone strong support: an athlete claim, a brand amplification, and a separate video instance all point to the same date and trick.
Rules of the Beast
Qualifying entries track the first publicly documented wake-foil landing of a frontside 360 backflip. The clip/post should identify the discipline as wake foiling, present the trick as completed rather than attempted, and show enough of the takeoff, invert/rotation, and landing sequence to support the claim.
How This Got the Nod
Athlete/brand social posts and a mirrored YouTube Short align on the trick and firstness claim.
