The Ride, The Proof, The Glory

Charles Brodel’s Tarifa win deserves a world-first entry because it marks the first GKA Big Air Hydrofoil World Championship title in the discipline. The GKA event report says he claimed the Qatar Airways GKA Big Air Hydrofoil World Championship title in Tarifa, and the follow-up video page packages the hydrofoil final as the event where Brodel soared above the rest. Separate F-ONE coverage explicitly describes him as the first GKA Big Air Hydrofoil World Champion after having already become a hydrofoil freestyle world champion in 2021.

Rules of the Beast

This first is awarded to the first rider publicly recognized by GKA as the Big Air Hydrofoil World Champion. It is a competition-title first, not a height-measurement record.

How This Got the Nod

GKA official report recognizes Brodel as the Hydrofoil Big Air World Champion in Tarifa. F-ONE corroborates that he was the first champion in this title line.
