How This Epic Thing Went Down
SFT reported that the first-ever SFT Surf Foil World Cup in Cape Verde culminated in the Tour's first women's champion. Four athletes competed in the women's division, and Bowien Van Der Linden of Holland took the top spot with confident fluid lines and strong wave selection. Francesca Maini finished second, Annie Reickert third, and Nia Suardiaz fourth. The men's division was not completed because conditions were considered too dangerous to safely crown a champion near the rocks. This row is a competition-first milestone, not a measured time, distance, or trick record.
Rules of the Beast
The rider must win the women's division at an SFT Surf Foil World Cup or equivalent first official SFT surf-foil competition. This is a competition first, not a measured speed, distance, or duration record. The source must identify the champion and event location.
