The Epic Record Run

Charles Brodel’s 37.17 m session in Porto Pollo appears in the public trail as the next major height escalation after the 34.4 m Mykonos mark. WOO Sports posted that he had recorded the highest kite jump ever while warming up for the Red Bull Italia qualifier, with the measured height listed as 37.17 m. Follow-up brand and retail coverage ties the attempt back to hydrofoil gear, identifying the F-ONE Escape 430 foil, Pocket Carbon 120 foilboard, 85 cm mast, and an 8 m Banger QuadX kite. Because some headlines in the public chain say “highest kite jump ever” while the equipment details establish the foil setup, this row is entered in the kitefoil height series with a verification note that the foil classification is supported by the corroborating gear report.

Rules of the Beast

Rider must be on a kite-powered hydrofoil board at the time of the jump. The jump height must be reported by a named source, preferably a WOO announcement, rider or sponsor report, competition statement, or a specialist kite outlet that clearly identifies the foil category. This series excludes twin-tip, strapless surfboard, wingfoil, tow-up, and non-foil kite jumps. If a source uses WOO data, the reported WOO height is entered as the metric value.

How This Got the Nod

WOO reports the 37.17 m result. Bay Area Kitesurf corroborates that Brodel was riding a foilboard and foil setup at the session.
