Jinx grew up in a swamp where every quiet patch of water hides a surprise, and that is exactly why he became obsessed with pump foiling. When a foil board washed up in the muck, he treated it like treasure and tried to ride it immediately, which led to a pile of wipeouts and a fast lesson in balance and control. The swamp offered no gentle learning curve, so he learned the pump to glide technique out of necessity, using a steady rhythm to lift and skim above weeds and shallow hazards.
The problem was that the swamp never gave him a straight line. Logs, roots, tight gaps, and hanging snakes forced him to invent solutions on the fly, and those solutions turned into pump foil tricks without him even realizing it. He started doing a foil pop and land to clear stumps, then added a foil hop over obstacles to thread narrow channels. When he needed to change direction quickly, he figured out the foil foot switch and foil stance switch, landing smoothly and pumping away like it was normal.
By the time Jinx met other riders, they called it hydrofoil freestyle and technical pump foiling, the kind of freestyle pump foiling most people only attempt after years of flatwater pump foiling practice. Jinx just shrugged and said it was survival, then went back to carving on pump foil through the trees. His story is the reminder every beginner needs: pump foil progression is messy at first, but with repetition, the awkward phase turns into confidence, and confidence turns into style.

Follow these tips when applying stickers: Apply the sticker to a clean, dust-free, oil-free, and moisture-free surface. After application, press the sticker down with a clean cloth to maximize the sticker’s ability to stick to the surface and avoid air bubbles. Make sure that the sticker is applied correctly the first time. With every reapplication, the sticker’s ability to stick will decrease. Apply the sticker to a flat surface only. If applied on items that bend, are round, or in a cylinder form, we can’t guarantee its ability to hold.
